April 30 2005: Final Round (Voting) Delay

As the contestants need to record 2 audios for the final, I've decided to give them more time to record them (recording 2 audios in the time it took to record 1, for the most important round wasn't fair). So the voting will start this time next week (7th May) :)

February 05 2005: First Round (Voting)

The First Round (Voting) is now up, although unfortunately a week late. As you know, 2 of the original finalists for the round did not submit and we thought that it was not the best way to start off the competition. The 5 runners-up for the Audition Round were asked to submit audio and the best 2 were chosen. So, please welcome the 2 new finalists:

Please be aware that we will be checking the logs for irregular voting patterns and that at CMM we take cheating very seriously.

January 16 2005: 2 More Entrants

Two more entrants to the CMM Idol 2 Audition Round have been added to the site.
Please note that these entrants are not late entrants and were submitted on time, for the competition deadline.

January 15 2005: Audition Round Judging Starts!
|
The audios of all those who entered the Audition Round have been added to the Current Round section of the site. I must remind all contestants that they cannot even hint to anybody (even if they're not a judge) which entry is their's, as this is an anonymous round. Failure to comply with this rule WILL result in disqualification.
This round will be judged by the judges, who will choose the 10 best entrants to go through to the First Round, from then onwards it will be up to you, the CMM members, to decide who will progress.
The same rules as on Christina Showcase apply;
"By downloading files off this site, you agree to refrain from comments that are hurtful or inappropriate, and are restricted to only use constructive criticism."
A big thank you on behalf of CMM to everyone who has entered.

January 05 2005: Changes and Clarification
|
We've decided to change the dates of the competition to make it easier in the later stages, instead of cutting from 4 contestants to 2 contestants, and extra round will be created to cut 4 contestants to 3 and then to 2. For this round, remaining contestants will be able to sing any song by any artist.
I've also updated the FAQ section, to answer a question left out originally. Only completely new contestants and contestants who didn't make it into the top 10 last time will be allowed to enter CMM Idol 2.

January 01 2005: CMM Idol 2 has launched!
|
Welcome to the website for CMM Idol 2. If you are thinking about entering the competition, please read through the What section, where you will find the rules and the format of the competition.
I'd like to take the opportunity to thank the contestants and judges of CMM Idol 1 for making the competition a great success. We hope that there will be many more successful competitions to come and that CMM Idol will be an annual event in the CMM Calendar.
Whenever the site is updated, a very short summary of the update will appear under latest news and the update will appear in this section, this way the main page won't be bogged down with updates like it was last year and you should be able to find information easily.
You can find the current round easily by clicking on Current Round where the name of the current round will be.
If you find any bugs on the site, please PM lallybrooky on the CMM Forum or post it in the Bug Reports Forum.
This year, for extra interactivity, please submit your questions to be asked for the judges and finalists biography's to cmmidol@christinamultmedia.com by January 14th.
