Competition Rules

Rules for Contestants:

1) The closing time for all rounds will be at midnight EST on the date that the round ends, as specified in the Format section of the site. We reserve the right to change the dates of the rounds, but notice will be provided to all contestants.
2) Don't cheat!!! We will find out if you have stolen vocals from another site or sign-up for other usernames (only one username is permitted on CMM).
3) The Audition Round is anonymous. Do not name your file in a way that will give away your identity. The Manager in charge will be able to tell who you are from your contestant number. If you try and influence the judges in any way, you will be disqualified.
4) If you record a song which breaks any of the rules or you cannot prove that the song matches the requirements of the round, we will ask you to re-record your vocals (if there is time), otherwise, we cannot accept the song for the competition. If you are unsure whether the song is permitted, please contact lallybrooky in advance.
5) You can only sing each song once, even if you sang it in the Audition Round. There are plenty of songs to choose from.
6) You can sing along with an instrumental/karaoke version of the song or sing acapella, whatever you choose.
7) Send the file in mp3 format.

Rules for Voters:

1) When voting for someone, you are not allowed to vote for someone because they are your friend. CMM Idol 4 is a singing competition and not a popularity contest. Do not allow anyone to influence your votes.
2) Don't sign up for multiple usernames, you will be banned from CMM. Only one username is permitted per person.
3) By downloading files off this site, you agree to refrain from making comments that are hurtful or inappropriate, and be restricted to only use constructive criticism.
