Celebrating the Olympic art of patience: Your weekly forum update - 05:03AM EST - century
Good evening, morning, or whichever time it is for you all, I’m back with some more forum-news. 
And sad to say the cycle of slow news continues, as there doesn’t seem to be much moving in Christina’s world. So unfortunately no major breaking stories, but to give you guys and girls something, we’ll get the rumor mill going. And we do so with a new post in our official Bionic thread, coming from a source over at the LiveDaily forum who claims Christina’s album won’t see the light of day until May, and we can only expect a first single (which might not even be “Glam”) somewhere in mid to late March. That's not that far of if you think about it, as we’re on the verge of entering that month. But let’s still hope whatever comes, comes fast, as by now some of our desperate members are also on the verge of something, and it ain’t pretty.
Nevertheless though, despite the long wait for some new material, you can add one more listed, signed and registered Christina fan to the board. None other than Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir, who in an interview with all the members of the US delegation in Vancouver called our girl his “Idol of Idols”. What more could the folks at American Idol need to invite our girl over as a guest judge, besides an actual Olympic gold medal? And even though figure skating might not sound as cool as snowboarding, let’s not forget it has tights, which I’m sure Simon secretly loves to wear. And may I offer my apologies in advance for that scary vision.
Onward now to our vault of riches, namely picture lounge. And that never seizes to amaze us with a treasure trove of stunning photos, which we’ve got in abundance for you all. Starting off with an unseen picture of Christina’s bachelorette party, looking cute as ever before her big day. And there’s more, with newly added photos to our InStyle-shoot catalog, one of them showing our girl’s not afraid to work the pool table, but does so in pinkish style. And for the real deal, we once again visit our Marie-Claire thread, and see not one, not two, but three more pictures added to the mix, including one fierce and sexy-looking Christina. And for dessert we have some male bonding, as Jordan and Max took a stroll and went out for dinner together.
Nearing the conclusion, we as always dip our toes in celebrity land, and find some more interesting facts you might want to know. Such as the news that Ian McShane is set to star in the next “Pirates” movie, as none other than the legendary Blackbeard. And for Johnny Depp lovers there’s even more, with some newly added “Alice in Wonderland” clips in our Disney thread, showing Wonderland hasn’t changed a bit when it comes to the dangers of eating anything over there if you’re not wearing ultra-stretch spandex clothes. And to close off, J. Lo is apparently throwing on her Louboutins again, this time to walk out the door of Sony records now that they have, I quote, “amicably split”, and strut into a (possible) new venture with label Def Jam.

Making good use of your eyes: Your weekly forum update - 06:13AM EST - century
Hey everyone, it’s that time again to get your fix of latest forum news.
And last week was unfortunately a slow one again, with little extra buzz coming from the Christina front. Though visually we have some very lovely, and also very bizarre things in store for you. Starting as always in Xtina lounge, where our frequently-updated Burlesque thread now comes with another on-set video of our girl, plus the news that a “Burlesque” book is in the works. No word on what we all can read when it comes out, though hopefully it will be a nice addition to a movie that we all hope will rock our socks. And if that’s too long of a wait for you, you can always try to piece together all our Youtube set-videos into a nice movie of your own.
While we wait for Christina’s major-movie debut, we can still get our first glimpse of her on the big screen when the new Russell Brand movie “Get Him To The Greek” comes out, in which our girl has a little cameo role. The newly released trailer for the film (sans Christina, unfortunately) sure looks like it can entertain us while we anxiously await her most likely very short appearance, though we’ll still have to wait until summer before we get that chance. And for my bit of album news in this update, I can only offer a very odd yet typical example of the media’s knack for fact-checking, as our resident Xtina lounge moderator Rod posted a peculiar Bravo magazine Top 20 list of the hottest songs, strangely featuring our girl’s long awaited (and still unreleased first single) “Glam” at #16. At least we know they like it already.
And once you’re done lmfao’ing to that bizarre piece of media-work, we can make our way to picture lounge, and check out a few satisfying new additions to our lounge. Including a whole bunch of new pictures of Christina on set, in no less than 5 different outfits, each of them showcasing our girl’s killer legs and looks. Still want more? You got it, with this new outtake from her Marie-Claire shoot, giving you a nice vision of what it would be like to see Christina decked out on your bed sheets. And if you’re in the mood for some stylish black and white photos, we got just the thing for you with another new picture of her Nylon shoot that has made its way to our boards. Sort of at least.
We’re reaching the final leg of this update now, and that means taking another look at the crazy antics that have been taking place in the world of celebrities. Starting with the hottest Lady of the moment, none other then Lady Gaga, who snagged three Brit awards, and gave a very powerful performance while she was there. All the while looking like, well, only she can look. In some celebrity-in-the-making news, now that all 24 American Idol hopefuls who’ll make it onto the big show are known (minus one unlucky shoe-salesman), the conversation and speculation can finally take off in our resident AI thread. And in this update’s dose of Daily Celeb Buzz news you can read up on Celine Dion’s second Vegas-stint, the death of a fashion icon, and the need for John Mayer to put a cork in it.
