 THE MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday was the most blingtastic showbiz bash ever.
Celebs including Beyonce, J-Lo and Christina Aguilera looked stunning in sequins, metallics and glitter.
Here Fashion Editor ERICA DAVIES reveals who shone in the style stakes – and who failed to sparkle.
BEYONCE BLINGIN'

BEYONCE looked like she'd raided the wardrobe from a groovy Seventies movie.
The singer, with her new blonde tresses, sported a shiny gold hotpants suit.
She clearly took inspiration from her sexy Austin Powers character Foxxy Cleopatra.
J-LO BLINGIN'

NEWLYWED J-Lo dazzled in a glitzy Versace frock and matching bag.
The strapless brown dress flattered La Lopez's famous curves while its A-line cut hid her shapely rear.
But she should have left the hat and dodgy shoes at home.
CHRISTINA AGUILERA BLINGIN'

DIRRTY girl Christina keeps working that ol’ Moulin Rouge! look.
But she went for a covered-up, glam version with sequinned flapper frock and Yves Saint Laurent shoes.
Not too sure about those Ena Sharples pin curls, though.
GWEN STEFANI BLINGIN'

AS usual Gwen got it right by following her own style.
The fuchsia pink pencil skirt with black netting – from her own range of L.A.M.B. clobber – looked absolutely fab with the floral hair accessory.
The colour also works wonderfully with her pale skin.
JESSICA SIMPSON BLINGIN'

JESSICA turned up the heat by showing her curves in this white and silver Escada dress.
The star of TV reality show Newlyweds said it was the first time she had worn such a sexy outfit.
Of her ample cleavage, she insisted: "There's no padding."
GWYNETH PALTROW MINGIN'

SINCE becoming mummy to Apple, Gwyneth’s dress sense has been far from yummy.
Despite her flat tum, these Bermuda shorts and waistcoat looked dowdy against the lavish outfits of other stars.
But then Gwyn’s never one to compete with the bling babes.
LIL' KIM MINGIN'

US Brits have Jodie Marsh, the Yanks have Lil' Kim.
The rapper showed up in a silver, black and pink number covering very little.
This frocky horror is slashed and hitched to kingdom come in a bid to sex it up.
But it STILL looks terrible. |
