A Truly Memorable TourType: Magazine Article

Concert TourJan 2001

Destiny’s Child recently opened up for Christina Aguilera during her four-month, 50-city concert tour. J-14 caught the show at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles. What a show! Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle were “Jumpin’, Jumpin’,” and so was the audience as they performed an awesome set. They enthralled the sell-out crowd with their fabulous costumes and smooth dance moves. During their set, they performed all of their hits, including “Bills, Bills, Bills,” and “Say My Name.”

Christina then took her spot on center stage. It was nearing the end of her tour, but this hot singer didn’t show any signs of fatigue. She opened up the show with “Genie in a Bottle,” and later performed favorites like “I turn to you” and “What a Girl wants.”

Having released Mi Reflejio, her Spanish-Language album, a few months ago, Christina performed some songs in Spanish during her high-energy set. The 20-year-old pop superstar ended the night with “Come on Over.” Some enthusiastic fans even showed up dressed like the pop star. They donned tons body glitter and sparkling gems around their eyes, just like Christina. At the end of the night, there were glow sticks waving in unison from side to side. It was a fitting end to a truly memorable tour!
