Christina Aguilera has settled her legal battle with Warlock Records over the release of demos she recorded when she was 14 and 15 years old.
An album, entitled 'Just Be Free', will be hitting shops on August 21st despite the fact that Aguilera filed a lawsuit back in May against the public release of the compilation.
Although the singer cannot stop Warlock and affiliates Platinum Recordings and JFB Music from issuing the album, she has been given an opportunity to address her fans about the project. She will be including a letter in each long-player that will say that the songs "were made just so that I could get my foot in the door of the music business" and that "they are being released 'as is', although I tried to prevent the release for several years."
Christina continues her defence by adding later in the letter: "The growth and vocal development I experienced as I matured into you adulthood is not reflected in the recordings." |
