THE MTV Awards ceremony in Edinburgh will feature tartan-themed dressing rooms.
A huge double-decker tent will house 80 dressing rooms for the host of A-list stars who will flock to the prestigious event on November 6.
Presenter Christina Aguilera aims to carry out a record number of costume changes, which is expected to include a tartan mini-kilt. And to continue the tartan theme, MTV organisers have ordered a plaid carpet instead of the traditional red carpet for the stars to walk on.
A source said yesterday: "Instead of a red carpet there is going to be a tartan carpet and the tartan theme will be carried through to the dressing rooms.
"There will be a two-tier tent which will provide 80 dressing rooms. The majority of the rooms will be on the larger side for bands and the bigger stars.
"It has not been decided who will be put where but consideration will be given to who gets on with each other and who doesn’t."
It is believed a pipe band may kick off the ceremony in a bid to promote Scotland. |
