 The background: Christina Aguilera, 22, and Pink, 24, actually have quite a lot in common - a love of piercings and tattoos, a tough childhood, and they even use some of the same songwriters. But maybe that's why the two, who fell out after recording Moulin Rouge! track Lady Marmalade together, get on so badly - despite having once shared saliva during a spin the bottle party!
Christina says: "When has Pink not been copying me? In her fashion it's always like, 'Gosh, I just wore that last week."
Pink says: "I've never seen Christina host a show and I think it's surprising they are having someone like that in charge of the MTV Europe Music Awards. She is not very entertaining."
The temperature is: Boiling. During a recent trip to London, Pink's nose was put out of joint after Christina banned her from her mid-tour party and nicked the best suite in the swanky Sanderson Hotel where they were both staying. Then Pink got her own back (or shot herself in the foot, however you want to look at it) by refusing to co-present the MTV Europe Music Awards with Christina two weeks ago. On the night, Pink put another spanners in the works, by telling organisers she wouldn't go on stage if hostess Christina mentioned her name. Radio 1 DJ Trevor Nelson was drafted in at the last minute to introduce the stroppy star.
Kiss and make up? Unlikely - looks like there's only one room for one Dirrty girl at the top of the American charts - and Christina's determined that it's going to be her... |
