Kisses, hugs, tears and Eminem's bare bottom - this year's MTV Movie Awards had all the usual pizzazz and irreverence we've come to expect from Hollywood.
'It was very sweet and innocent. There was no tongue,' she joked backstage at the Los Angeles ceremony.
Former EastEnder Martine McCutcheon, 28, scooped Best Transatlantic Breakthrough for her role in Love Actually. Close to tears, she told the crowd: 'I can't believe I won this. You guys are so much fun.'
Uma Thurman come away with Best Female Performance and Best Fight for her action girl role in the Kill Bill films.
'This is the year of my life,' the 34-yearold said after collecting the award from Tom Cruise. Lucy Liu won the award for Best Villain in Kill Bill, while Johnny Depp won Best Male Performance for his part in Pirates Of The Caribbean.
The top award went to Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King for Best Movie. It also won Best Action Sequence for the dramatic Battle of Gondor scene.
