Summary:
Christina Aguilera made almost $500,000 (U.S.) for two hours work on Monday at the opening of Harrod's summer sale in London. Soon after she finished her duties, the singer went on a shopping spree of her own. Included on her must have list were 34 bras and matching panties, 12 corsets and 10 suspender belts. She spent in excess of $16,000 (U.S.). Aguilera also told reporters that she was working on two new albums - one will be a Spanish language release while she described the other as having a soulful retro feel reminiscent of blues recordings of the 1920's and '30's. |
Liberals Win Minority In one of the closest federal elections in a lifetime, Paul Martin and the Liberals won a strong minority last night. Martin will be needing the help and support of his friends and adversaries, like the Bloc and the NDP to get anything done. And who knows, if there's a power struggle, we could be going back to the polls in as soon 6 months. Tune in for a MuchVote overview during MuchNews tonight at 7:30 - as we take to the streets to get your reaction to the election results.
Courtney Late Again Courtney Love narrowly avoided being branded a fugitive yesterday. The ex-Hole singer arrived over five hours late for a Manhattan court appearance. The judge said she was "on the verge of ordering a bench warrant" for Love's arrest. Love's attorney said that his client was late because she was not aware that she was required to attend the hearing. Love faces charges for allegedly striking a concert-goer with a mic stand. She faces up to a year in prison if convicted.
Britney Rumours Britney Spears' spokesperson is busy denying a new round of gossip in the UK tabloids. The papers are running rampant with rumours that the pop star's recent engagement is the result of an as-yet-unannounced pregnancy. However, it is a fact that her fiancé, Kevin Federline, will soon be a father. His ex-girlfriend, actress Shar Jackson, will soon give birth to their second child.

Glastonbury Tragedy Tragedy struck at the Glastonbury festival on Monday when the father of Muse drummer Dominic Howard passed away just hours after his son's headlining set. The 62-year old man is believed to have suffered a heart attack. Police say they are not treating the death as suspicious.
Prodigy Shocks Milan Prodigy don't seem to have mellowed out much in their time out of the public eye. Singer Keith Flint shocked the audience during a performance at a Versace fashion show with his over-the-top antics. Flint reportedly leapt off the catwalk into the audience where he taunted spectators with sexual innuendoes - including simulating oral sex on one fashionista. Hostess Donatella Versace also reportedly forbid Flint from wearing a t-shirt bearing a reference to Satan. The Prodigy's latest album "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned" hits stores this August. |
