Christina Aguilera has revealed that she is currently working on two new album releases.
Aguilera, who released current album "Stripped" in October 2002, has posted a new audio message on christinaaguilera.com apologising for cancelling her summer shows.
She says: "I've been writing and recording and putting my heart and soul into this next vision that I have for the next album. And I'm also working on my next Spanish album, to follow-up to my first one which was many years ago it seems like to me, maybe to you, too."
Part-Ecuadorian Aguilera released the Spanish-language album "Mi Reflejo" ["My Reflection"] in September 2000, featuring translated versions of songs from her eponymous October 1999 debut.
Aguilera adds that she's also at work on a new image: "I've been kind of flirting with old '20s, '30s, '40s looks and styles and movies and old pin-ups… kind of this old Hollywood feel."
As to making a film, she says: "I'm not just going to do a movie to do a movie… It has to be the right role, I have to feel the right character. It has to be something meaty and juicy that I can sink my teeth into."
The "Stripped" star appeared on the Milan catwalk yesterday [Tuesday] as part of the runway show by new Canadian designers Dean and Dan Caten where she wore a fringed, cowgirl-style mini-dress. Aguilera has previously appeared in campaigns for Versace. |
