Busy X-tina
Christina Aguilera used her official website to apologize to fans for canceling her tour, and to keep everyone posted on what she's been doing. She said she's giving her voice a good rest, and is taking the time to relax and get her voice back in shape. She said that she would never go out on the stage unless she was ready to give 100 percent, so she decided to cancel the tour. She's also been reading movie scripts and taking her time to choose the right movie. Christina is also recording a cover of the old Rose Royce song "Car Wash" for a new computer-animated movie due in October. Will Smith, Robert DeNiro, Renee Zellweger, Jack Black, and Angelina Jolie are all lending their voices to the project.
Britney's Into Rock
Britney Spears is sporting a breathtaking two-carat diamond ring and new fiancee Kevin Federline, according to the British tabloids. The two went to an exclusive Beverly Hills jeweler over the weekend and Britney happily paid with her "Black Centurion" American Express card.
Scent of Beyonce
Beyonce is happily being paid $3 million to be the spokesperson of Tommy Hilfiger's new perfume "True Star." The singer/actress told the "New York Post" Page Six that working for Hilfiger is "the easiest job I ever had." For an upcoming TV commercial, Beyonce bragged "I spent the day lying on a couch." In the spot she's singing an a'capella rendition of "Wishing on a Star." The collection will be available in October.
Nicole Plays Dead
"The Simple Life's" Nicole Richie will turn up in the September 12 episode of HBO's "Six Feet Under." She'll play a rich celebrity who attends Claire's first art show and buys one of her paintings.
Ga-Ga for Goo Goo
"The Goo Goo Dolls" will be playing a free concert on Fourth of July on the steps of City Hall in their hometown of Buffalo, New York. MTV reports that the concert will be taped and released as a DVD later this year.
Spelling Test
"The New York Post" reports that Tori Spelling was thisclose to not getting married when her new fiancee, actor/writer Charlie Shanian refused to sign a Pre-nup. It got down to the wire, but he signed, and the couple are due to walk down the aisle this weekend.
TLC looking for a new L
MTV.com reports that TLC's remaining members, T-Boz and Chilli are searching for a third member of their group to replace Left Eye, who passed away in 2004. They're working with Fox Television Studios to do a reality show to search for a new member. |
