Now that Christina Aguilera, 23, is recording a song for the animated film Shark Tale (out October 1), it’s only fitting that she has a PG-rated look. “She’s going through a transition,” her longtime stylist, Trish Summerville, tells Us. “It’s a little more softer, more playful.”
She has given heavy metal the heave-ho
After being pierced in 11 places (she told Maxim, “Some are visible, and some are in… other places that I really like”), Aguilera has, um, a hole new perspective on body art. “Maybe I was rebelling,” she said recently. “I’ve taken them all out, apart from the one in my right nipple. That’s for me.”
She has ditched her “Dirrty” image
Chaps? No chance. Aguilera is now stepping out in Old Hollywood-inspired styles (think silky slips, suits and pin curls). “I think [acting] is the route she wants to go in, and this look shows that she can go in different directions,” says Summerville
She has toned down her life
“I don’t see her at clubs like I used to,” says a pal of Aguilera’s, who is dating music manager Jordan Bratman. “She seems content with [Jordan].” |
