Paris Hilton enjoyed a fine meal at a Los Angeles restaurant - until she realized she would have to pay the $600 tab for her and her five friends.
The reality TV star and hotel heiress apparently is accustomed to getting free dinners, according to Britain's Daily Star.

A source said, "she obviously isn't used to paying for stuff and looked horrified." Hilton finally ponied up and paid the bill.

Ving Rhames has the bald pate. All he needs is the lollipop. The "Pulp Fiction" actor will play "Kojak" in a USA Network movie based on the Telly Savalas series that aired on CBS from 1973-78.

Another sign of apocalypse: Water from the Princess Diana fountain in Hyde Park, London, is being auctioned on eBay. A man from Watford is selling the 16- ounce bottles, filled with liquid collected from the memorial fountain that opened July 6.

Bill Cosby, who recently said African-American children are "going nowhere" because they do not know how to read and write, is paying for the college education of two top Massachusetts high school graduates.

Cosby learned about Loren M. Wilder and Jimmy L. Hester and arranged a tour of three colleges. The two chose Hampton (Va.) University.

Wilder was 14 when his mother was jailed for dealing drugs. Hester left home at 15 after years of moving around and fighting with his mother.
