 Have something negative to say about Christina Aguilera or her forthcoming album, "Bionic" ? The pint-sized diva is already over any form of negativity, especially when it comes to proving herself.
Covering the latest issue of Billboard, Aguilera takes on critics following a firestorm of negative press and commentary from Akon, who called her out for allegedly copying and being intimidated by Lady Gaga. Not the least bit concerned going forward, Aguilera tells Billboard "I’m in it for the long haul, and a decade later in my career, I have nothing to prove. To anyone who wants to be negative, it’s like, ‘I’m obviously relevant enough to you for you to care and to talk and to evoke negative feelings inside of you.’ At this point in my career, I’m over any and all weird comparisons or negativity."
As previously reported, Aguilera is also gearing up for a world tour, which kicks off shortly after "Bionic" hits stores June 8
Earlier this week a record titled "WooHoo,' featuring Nicki Minaj, was released. It is unclear whether that song will become a second single, following the now controversial "Not Myself Tonight" |
