 Christina Aguilera is a single mother now, so she has to be an independent role model for her son. But on 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35 on NBC), she reveals that being a mom and a sexy recording artist is more complicated than you would think.
The singer filed for divorce from husband Jordan Bratman in October, and they will share custody of their two-year-old son Max. Despite his young age, Max is precocious -- and he's interested in his mom's piercings. The edgy starlet once had twelve piercings in total (some located in very private places). She had so many that the metal studs reportedly set off an alarm in an airport, causing a security alert,
Aguilera discusses Max's fascination with her chin "hole," but seems nervous about telling the story. Leno says that "in ten to twelve years" Max will be a teenager, and will be wanting piercings of his own. Despite her uncomfortable demeanor, Christina supports her son getting piercings some day. Still, there are some parental boundaries that she won't cross.
"It'll be a long time coming before he sees ... where I got all my piercings," she says, before realizing exactly what this means. Hopefully, her son will never view all his mom's piercing locations, because that would involve boobs, and other body parts. The singer is embarrassed by her accidentally bizarre remark. But she quickly tries to recover. "Let's just move on!" she says. |
