 Here is Christina Aguilera. She is attending the launch party for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim at Los Angeles' Belasco Theatre. It is a Tuesday night in November and there is a chill in the air. Her hands are raised and the shrug of her shoulders appears to express a certain "No, I don't know why I'm here either" vibe.
Is Xtina perhaps a lifelong fan of the Elder Scrolls series? Did she spend endless hours playing Morrowind (Elder Scrolls III) during the Justified/Stripped concert tour of 2003? Did she delay the release of her Back to Basics album in order to fit in a few more hours wandering round the ruins and caverns in the fourth instalment of the series, Oblivion? Did she, maybe, just do a voice for the game?
No.
Alas, she is there because she is famous and we are not there because we are not famous DESPITE the fact that some of us booked the following week off work just to play the thing. Ahem.
In case you were wondering about the fashion side of things rather than fuming at the injustices of life, Xtina is wearing a Versace jacket and an Alexander McQueen vest. The boots are Louboutin and leggings are still not trousers.
