The (friendly) battle of the sexes that drives 'The Voice,' TV's most exciting m - Feb 01, 2012
At its heart, The Voice is a game show, and the most essential rules that guide its coaches are unspoken: Try not to wince when blind auditions trick you into picking an unsightly singer; always declare it "heartbreaking" to choose the winner of a vocal battle, no matter how easy the decision actually is; and most importantly, never, ever interrupt Christina Aguilera when she is speaking.
One late afternoon in a quiet backroom of a Los Angeles photo studio, Aguilera is curled up, barefoot, on a white couch next to fellow coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. She's sipping an iced c...

Adam, on Cee Lo’s style: “He can wear white socks with sandals and still have it be f—ing cool. If I did that, Blake would make fun of me.”

Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton pose for the cover, but it’s not really posed. It looks like the cameras caught them goofing around on set. That’s how natural and genuine the affinity and respect among these constantly sparring coaches is. It’s a far cry from “feels scripte...

Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton drop by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on an episode airing Friday (February 3).
The celebrity coaches from The Voice reacted to unflattering comments American Idol judge Randy Jackson made about the NBC talent competition, insinuating it was a “second chance place”.
“Shame on Randy Jackson for saying that, because he, out of anybody, should know that if you’re in this business you need second, third, fourth and fifth chances,” Adam said. “So we love and embrace that being part of the show.”

Ellen, masterfully stirring the pot, told the trio, "So Randy Jackson said, basically because there are bunch of singing competitions on the air right now.

Ten Things That Happened On The Voice Last Night - Feb 06, 2012
3. Christina Aguilera made a somewhat unnecessary race reference. Such was the appeal of Campbell that the coaches quickly took to scrapping over him, Cee Lo testifying “From the moment you opened up my mouth, I said ‘That’s my man, that’s my brother’.” Not to be outdone, Christina yelled “I was feeling the soul too!…Even though I’m not, you know, the same color as Cee Lo.” Despite this uncomfortable moment—the tension from which Cee Lo attempted to diffuse with a comment...

'The Voice': Adam Levine Gets His Groove On, Plus 9 More Memorable Moments (Vide - Feb 06, 2012
The coaches open with a Prince Medley. Do I even need to explain why a Prince medley by itself is just hot? No, I don’t think so. But, what made the performance sizzle even more? The wardrobe choices, silly. I mean Cee Lo Green’s sequined pajamas? Christina Aguilera’s spiked hat that made her look like a vocal-saurus? And Adam Levine in a simple gray tank, tatts blazin’? Blake Shelton should really have a bit more fun with his wardrobe.

Christina Aguilera Re-Ups for 'The Voice,' New Season May Air in Fall - Feb 07, 2012
"The Voice" has signed Christina Aguilera for a third season as NBC considers launching that season in the fall instead of waiting until 2013, TheWrap has learned.
That scheduling decision would have the show, now a midseason hit, airing at the same time of year as Fox's "X Factor."
Aguilera is the first of the four "Voice" judges to re-up her contract, which TheWrap last week reported amounted to a pricey $10 million, far more than "X Factor" judges earn on Fox.
But one insider close to the show said Aguilera's contract was for under $10 million.

But whose team is the strongest? Here are some of the night's most promising singers:
Pip, the bowtie-clad 19-year-old who sang "House of the Rising Sun," had all four coaches turn their chairs around hoping to have him on their side. "I did have success before Maroon 5 came along," Christina said, making her case. "I'm a fig...
Coaches see 'stiffer competition' as second season heats up - Feb 14, 2012
"It is definitely stiffer competition this year, and I think we're all being that much more guarded and that much more picky," Christina tells one of the blind auditions late in last night's episode of The Voice. If there was a running theme to the episode, that was it. There were moments when the four judges, especially Adam Levine, seemed like your annoying vegan friend who can't ever find anything to eat at any restaurant you visit. Or maybe the food was just mostly gross?
Each judge has 12 spots to fill, and though it doesn't seem like anybody has a strategy, some patterns are b...

The mag goes so far as to say, “It’s gotten so bad that frustrated producers are considering giving Christina a curfew on the nights before tapings.”
Aguilera also “seems distracted while filmin...

I know that we have all seen it firsthand now and I have mentioned the celebrity coaches hesitations, but by golly I'm going to repeat myself once more. It looks as though the coaches' main goal is to find "the winner" and not "strong talent." Yes, the point of the show is to have the winning artist who remains standing in the end, yet let's not forget to help those si...

Blake Shelton tries to repeat his season one strategy by adding two unique voice - Feb 21, 2012
Aguilera got off to a strong start, scoring the night's first two contestants (well, the first two who got picked at all, that is). First up was Jonathas, a 23-year-old father of two who moved to the U.S. from Brazil at age 5 to escape poverty and violence. Sounding so much like Usher with his rendition of "U Got It Bad," Jonathas fooled the judges at first. "I thought that was a prank," Cee Lo told the singer. "I thought that was actually Usher."

Okay, quick: who's your favorite coach on The Voice? Your answer tells as much about you as it might to reveal your favorite Beatle. Blake's the heart of the whole operation. (Sharing his sarsaparilla with that poor mustache guy who looked like he'd escaped from the "Dream of the 1890s" sketch!) Adam's the guts. (He's willing to turn his chair for some risky choices, but that's only because he's too cocky to think he won't win.) Christina's the voice. (Blake didn't concede that she's "one of the greatest singers of her generation" for nothing.) And Cee Lo's the loins. (What...

Adam Levine was Asked About Christina Aguilera’s Weight on Howard Stern - Feb 22, 2012
For all the rumors about bad blood between Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera, the Maroon 5 singer doesn’t seem to have any actual issue with his fellow “The Voice” judge these days, besides playful banter on the show itself.
During a Tuesday appearance on Howard Stern’s show, the host unsuccessfully tried to bait Levine into saying something unpleasant about Aguilera’s weight.
“Why do you think she got so heavy… Is she upset? She used to be so f**king hot!” said Stern, who added, “When you’re a plus-sized woman, you can’t wear the tight clothes anymore.”
“I wouldn’t go that fa...

Naturally, comparisons have been drawn between the two shows, but Randy has rubbished feud rumours.
“First of all, it’s all love,” he told Ellen DeGeneres in an interview on her show to air on Wednesday. “No disrespect, I think The Voice is a great show. I think what they do...

Cee-Lo Green has played cupid for Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine on "The Voice". Witnessing that two of his fellow mentors are often at each others' necks when trying to get a talent for their team, the "F**k You" hitmaker assumes their banter as a way of flirting.

Star: Christina Aguilera’s weight gain booze problems are “out of control” - Feb 23, 2012

According to the mag, Christina sleeps all day and boozes at night. She’s hated by The Voice costars and crwe. She was bullied over her 65 lbs. weight gain.
I do not know if this Star Mag cover is a Photoshopped image, or if someone just snapped a photo of standard-issue Christina Aguilera after a night of partying (“just another night”).
As you can see, Star Mag is taking the bold step of calling out Christina for being a crazy boozehound, only they dilute the issue by going on and on about her “65 p...
