Dinner at Christina's house... - Mar 02, 2012
Pre-dinner predictions:

Tonight Team Christina is going to dinner at...la casa de Christina! When they told us last night she had invited us over we might have squealed like school children at recess. So what. Ha.

I'm really excited to get to spend time with her away from the madness. I don't really know what to expect but I'm sure it'll be fun and she'll give us some good advice or maybe some good stories. Who knows! I'm just gonna focus on not geeking out or being a creep and stealing a lock of her hair or something. Wow...my mind is sick.

I'll update you post dinner/hair stealing....

The Voice contestant Sera Hill has said that performing with Christina Aguilera was a “dream come true”.

The hotel worker had just finished her blind audition performance of Mary J Blige’s ‘I’m Going Down’ when Aguilera, who had turned her chair around and become her mentor, said she felt inspired to join her on stage.

Aguilera and Hill then sang a few lines of ‘I’m Going Down’ together for the audience and fellow coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green.

Speaking to reporters this week, Hill said: “That was unbelievable. She is my idol, she is an icon, and I wasn’t expecting it....

The Voice Christina Aguilera says she blocks out comments on her curves. We see Christina Aguilera in her judge’s seat on NBC’s singing competition, The Voice each week, but that means her curvy body is back in the spotlight, too. Aguilera, who flew onto the pop scene when she was just a teenager, tells OK! that she’s happy with her voluptuous, 31-year-old figure.

“I love my body,” says the mom to 4-year-old Max (with ex-hubby Jordan Bratman). “My boyfriend [production assistant Matthew Rutler] loooves my body, so that’s all that matters to me.” Body image acceptance is something that the pop...

'THE VOICE'S' CHRISTINA AGUILERA AND LIONEL RICHIE: 'HOW TO MILK YOUR MOMENT' - Mar 05, 2012
NBC’s The Voice moves into battle rounds on Monday and you know that means? The coaches get their first chance to deliver on the promises they made to the performers during the blind rounds. And part of that comes from their choice of guest mentors.

On Monday’s episode, Christina Aguilera brings in the iconic soul, R&B, and pop star Lionel Richie.

“I just thought it was important to bring on people who would know how to give advice,” Christina told reporters at TCA. “A lot of artists in the business are true artists in the sense that that’s all that they do, and they’re great at being th...

The first night of the Battle Round showcases big voices and bigger hair. - Mar 06, 2012
The sight of Cee Lo Green wearing a Red Baron costume, complete with World War I era flying medal, can only mean one thing. The Battle Round of The Voice is upon us! And so it began last night with six incredibly drawn-out vocal sparring matches. Not just between the contestants, but their celebrity mentors as well. Nothing says "battle" like Jewel and Lionel Richie training aspiring artists to belt out "The Power of Love."

'American Idol,' 'The Voice' judges guilty of pufferyType: Internet Article
Apparently, we're a shockingly talented country with incredibly lousy television - Mar 06, 2012
How else can you explain the great TV singing-contest disconnect? In their comfortable studio seats (some spinnable, some not), the judges on Fox's American Idol and NBC's The Voice hear nothing but an unbroken parade of "magical," "amazing," "beautiful," "perfect," "best-ever" singers — all of them, as Voice's otherwise purposeless host Carson Daly told us Monday, "incredible artists."

Whereas at home, most of us generally hear one or two promising talents who, with training and guidance, might develop into popular performers, surro...

et the battles begin! With the blind auditions at its back, "The Voice" pivoted to focus on the battle rounds, in which each of the four coaches –- Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton -– pairs up members of his or her team of 12 to go head to head in a duet, bringing in celeb mentors Alanis Morrisette and Robin Thicke (Levine), Kelly Clarkson and Miranda Lambert (Shelton), Babyface and Ne-Yo (Green), and Jewel and Lionel Richie (Aguilera) to help along the way.

Lionel Richie offers advice, helps to stage powerful battle round on 'The Voice' - Mar 06, 2012
Maybe it's the Lionel Richie influence.

Maybe Christina Aguilera really knows how to pick her team members.

Or maybe singer Jesse Campbell is ... just that good.

Whatever the reason, a match-up on Team Xtina provided a powerful battle round on Monday's episode of "The Voice."

Alabama native Richie, a guest mentor on the NBC reality series, offered some advice to Campbell -- a soul singer and single dad from Chicago -- and helped him to ace this part of the singing contest.

But Campbell faced tough competition from gospel artist Anthony Evans, as the two faced off on Alicia Ke...

Forget Idol - here's to loving The Voice - Mar 07, 2012
The love affair with American Idol is so over, thanks to The Voice. At least, that's how it is for me.

Both shows are airing on TV in the United States and in Singapore.

But The Voice, as many critics have pointed out, is a worthy contender for the talent-search throne as it becomes increasingly popular, with Season 2 of the show beginning to draw more 18- to 49-year-old viewers in the US than Idol's 11th outing.

The Voice - which got its start in the Netherlands before being developed for America last year - is quite simply the better show.

It features judges Adam Levine from Maroon 5; hi...

Why The Voice is hitting the high notesType: Internet Article
Why The Voice is hitting the high notes more than American Idol this season - Mar 07, 2012
The Voice is suddenly on a hot streak — the kind of streak reserved for lightning-in-a-bottle pop-cultural phenoms that elevate hope and talent over hype and humiliation. The kind of streak that suddenly threatens to cast American Idol in the shade.

How is The Voice better than American Idol? Let me count the ways.

• The Voice has coaches, not judges. Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, and country vocalist Blake Shelton have a vested interest in the success of their 12 chosen team members.

• The Voice auditions focus on performing ability; American Idol auditio...

Christina Aguilera Teases Adam Levine for Fragrance Hypocrisy - Mar 10, 2012
