Besides topping the charts, Ricky Martin and Fred Durst have something else in common: Neither can catch Christina Aguilera.
Martin plays a game of cat and mouse with the sultry songstress in the video for their dance version of his song "Nobody Wants to Be Lonely." The ex-Mouseketeer and the former Menudo member pursue each other in the clip, but never quite connect.
"Nobody Wants to Be Lonely" appears as a solo ballad on Martin's "Sound Loaded" album. He and Aguilera re-recorded the song as a dance duet in December; the number arrived at radio stations on Tuesday, January 9. People who bought the original disc will have an opportunity to get the new song for free, though details were not available at press time as to how.
Aguilera's last high-profile collaboration was with Fred Durst, when the Limp Bizkit singer joined her onstage at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. Durst later said he "did it all for the nookie," to which Aguilera responded that he wasn't successful. |
