| Christina,Jay-z,Ben Affleck step into the big man's boots - Dec 23, 2003 | Maybe deep down inside, everyone — even pop stars, rappers, actors and professional wrestlers — wants to be Santa, at least for a little while. That might explain why so many celebrities are passing up their day jobs to walk a mile in the big guy's black boots this holiday season.
For Christina Aguilera, Jay-Z and others, home is where the heart (and the giving) is. Jay is once again expected to spend his Christmas in Brooklyn, New York's Marcy Projects, where he hands out toys to children from his old stomping grounds. Aguilera — who grew up in the Pittsburgh suburb of Wexford, Pennsylvania ... |

| Christina scared of the dark - Dec 23, 2003 | Tough-as-nails pop diva CHRISTINA AGUILERA can handle anything - except being alone in the dark.
Despite her girl power image and unconventional opinions, the hard-talking feminist admits there's still one thing that makes her tremble.
She says, "To this day I can't be in a dark room without the light on. It's a fear I've had for years.
"I know it's really childish but I just can't help it at all."... |

| What a wonderful year - Dec 22, 2003 | Manchester Evening News profiled their top "movers and shakers" for 2003, Christina mentioned.
"Justin's fellow Mouseketeer has been a huge sensation with her latest album, Stripped. Showing that she's more than just a pretty face and shaking off her teen idol persona, Christina has definitely become more mature. She's also showed off her soaring vocals in the scandalous single Dirrty, the self-confident ballad Beautiful, her collaboration with rapper Lil' Kim in Can't Hold Us Down, and the current warbly track, The Voice Within."

| IT’s official; Christina Aguilera is the Queen of Pop. - Oct 27, 2003 | Once dismissed as an imitator, the Cyndi Lauper to Britney’s Madonna, the Dirrty Girl has carved an adult identity for herself with ease.
And while Britney was busy failing to make the crossover to credible pop icon that ex-lover Justin Timberlake managed so successfully, Christina crept up and stole her crown.
If last night’s M.E.N. Arena performance is anything to go by, she has no intention of giving it back.
Chart-topping hip hoppers Black Eye Peas whipped up the largely teenage and female audience for the pint-sized stunner with a bass-driven supporting set.
A party attitude and ol... |

| Britney Spears Strikes Back At Christina Aguilera - Dec 23, 2003 | Britney Spears is on the cover of the new issue of Blender magazine, where she stepped up her response to pop rival Christina Aguilera who earlier had commented that Spears was "like a lost little girl who needs guidance."
Spears responded, "That's funny, because I haven't seen her in two years, and then she comes up to me in a club in front of all these people and tries to put her tongue down my throat! I'm like, 'How are you?' I say, 'It's good to see you,' and she goes, 'Well, you're not being real with me.' I was like, 'Well Christina. What's your definition of being real?... |

| Willa Ford on Christina - Dec 2003 | Q: Back in the day you had Cindi Lauper against Madonna, today you have Britney and Christina and you and it can’t all be the same thing. The fans want something different.
A: Right and I’m not into Britney. She is cool, but I’m not into her flavor. We art totally different artists. She doesn’t create music or a self-proclaimed vocalist. Christina is a singer and writer, but I can pick up an instrument and play it. That is no mystery to people and I have studied classical opera for four years. I just happen to have a certain look and my body looks a certain way and that is what the general pu... |

| Beyoncé's Blaring, So You Won't Hear a Shhh! - Dec 24, 2003 | AS that Beyoncé Knowles singing in the library? And Christina Aguilera? Not live, their fans may be disappointed to hear. But loud.
As any parent of a teenager knows, loud music is a prerequisite of doing homework, though most parents wonder how their children can possibly concentrate.
Take heart. If the New York Public Library, that fortress of shushing and tiptoeing, is doing it, it must be O.K. And the library has been playing Beyoncé and Christina lately at its Donnell branch in Midtown, courtesy of Sandra Payne. She's the library system's acting coordinator of young-adult services and, ... |

Aguilera spent two hours signing autographs and talking to the 18 women and 23 children at the shelter. She also helped wrap Christmas presents for children.
