But Christina - who has often slammed her father for being violent and uncaring towards her and her mother - decided to keep his last name, to retain her Latin surname.
Christina says, "Dad was never really there throughout my life - he... |

And keeping with her scantily clad image, Christina made sure she didn't cover Oliver her sexy midriff stayed on show.
But, as Hardy would have said: ''That's another fine mess you've got me into.''... |

| Young Voices: Dive into your own life, not shallow pop culture - Jan 05, 2004 | I'm at school and it's second period. I'm sitting in the back of my Modern Problems classroom, where the most modern problem that anyone can think to talk about is the recent outbreak on Christina Aguilera's head. Apparently her hair is falling out, probably due to excessive dye jobs. Students across the nation are mourning.
Every morning, I wake up to a life saturated in pop culture. Walking through my high school's hallways each day, the name "Britney Spears" hits my eardrums repeatedly. Britney's relationship status is more widely known than the current happenings in Iraq, o... |

"Perusing these pictures got us thinking - no, not of Canada - but rather of the horrible inevitability that sooner or later some bright spark would discover a likeness of Linus Torvalds hewn from the Martian rock, or a boulder in the form of Christina Aguilera or the Virgin Mary etched in a dried river bed."

| WWE Divas Update: Being Used To Get Ratings? - Jan 05, 2004 | Over the past few months the WWE has been trying harder and harder to get show ratings back up. It's pretty clear that now they are using the WWE divas to get ratings up.
On a VH1, they had a special last night called "Britney Vs. Christina." On the show it featured many celebrites giving in their "2 Cents" on the differences between Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Throughout the show, they would ask the WWE divas what they thought. Some divas on the show were Lita, Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, and a few others.
Another way the WWE is using the divas to bring the ... |

| The Big Picture: Avocation to vocation music to Goslin's ears - Jan 08, 2004 | "This is a gent to whom intonation, coloration and enunciation mean something. He riffs a list of his favorite local singers: Robert Moseley, a former parking lot attendant; Robert Riedel, a former Dravo official ("the greatest talent I've ever heard"), and some Wexford chick named Christina Aguilera ("she could be an opera diva in a heartbeat, if she really wanted to be"). And all we know from the baritone sportscaster are radio snippets and a bunch of national anthems."

| The good, the bad and the downright ugly of 2003 - Jan 05, 2004 | "Though they were few and far between, we did have a couple of fun ghastly moments on the red carpet. For that, we thank Christina Aguilera, in a pink feathered mini-thingy at the MTV Awards: Paula Abdul, looking like a set of tiara-topped curtains at the Emmys, and the ever-shrinking Lara Flynn Boyle, being the laughingstock of the Golden Globes in a pink tutu)."

| Pop goes the musical revolution - Jan 05, 2004 | They could take a page from the recent strategy of their seeming opposites - the teen stars. Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake initially made music as narrow and tepid as Clay Aiken and Kelly Clarkson do now, but they learned that they must change or die. Timberlake's musical overhaul has been nothing short of a revelation, transforming him from a hack to a creative hellion with a single solo album.

| Why not most imperfect bodies? - Jan 10, 2004 | TEENAGERS yearn to have a bum like Jennifer Lopez’s and tree trunks – sorry, legs – like Bouncy Knowles.
A new survey says they also crave Britney’s arms, Christina Aguilera’s tummy and Rachel Stevens’s face.
But why aren’t there ever surveys on the most imperfect bodies?
How’s about Michael Winner’s head for starters and, say, Johnny Vegas’s flabgut? Oh, and Vanessa Feltz’s megabot with Jo Brand’s pins?
Scrub that, let’s go for the whole of Michael Winner, the monster would look just like him anyway.... |
