| UK album sales 'reach new high' - Jan 13, 2004 | Almost 121 million artist albums, which exclude compilations, were sold - according to Official UK Charts Company figures quoted in Music Week magazine.
Dido had the year's best-selling album with Life For Rent, followed by Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
In the singles market, the Black Eyed Peas had the biggest seller of 2003.
But there was no good news for the singles market as overall sales continued to slide, with a drop of nearly 30%.
Black Eyed Peas sold 625,000 copies of the Where is the Love?, which stayed at number one for six weeks.

| Justin And Christina Add A Second T.O. Show - May 30, 2003 | Last month we told you that Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera were joining forces for one big pop extravaganza. The much-anticipated summer Justified And Stripped North American tour-de-force will at last begin on June 4. There were originally two Canadian stops scheduled by the duo, one in Vancouver at the Pacific Coliseum on June 11 and the other in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre on July 29. Due to overwhelming demand a second show has been added for Toronto. On July 31, an encore presentation of the Justified and Stripped tour will take place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
