Pop princess Christina Aguilera has hit back at claims she cancelled her American tour because she couldn't fill concert venues.
The singer pulled the plug on the three-month tour last month amid reports she had struggled to attract enough interest.
But representatives for the star have refuted the claims, insisting she axed the dates because of a throat infection.
Now Christina has spoken out in person, fuming, "They are saying I could not sell out the venues but they were all sold out. I'm suffering from a bad throat."
Disappointed fans are meanwhile anxiously awaiting to find out if the tour is back on - after Aguilera was spotted rehearsing with her crew.
A source told the New York Post last week, "Christina was rehearsing with two back-up singers and two dancers in a studio in Burbank. It sounds more like it will be a pared-down tour." |
