Strained vocal chords have forced Christina Aguilera to cancel her summer tour.
The twenty-eight-city trek was scheduled to launch May 13th in Seattle, but Aguilera's doctors urged her to take the summer off to give her voice time to recover. "I am extremely disappointed," Aguilera said. "I was looking forward to being on the road again and spending time with my fans."
Aguilera had set up the dates in continued support of her 2002 release Stripped. Last year, she and Justin Timberlake co-headlined the successful Justified and Stripped Tour. Rapper Chingy had been enlisted for this summer.
