Singer Christina Aguilera has infuriated fans by hinting her tour was axed because she didn't have any new material to sing - after initially claiming she pulled out to rest her voice on doctors' orders.
The Dirrty star admits the prospect of her scheduled summer (04) Stripped dates failed to inspire her, preferring instead to write fresh songs to sing after becoming bored with her repetitive setlist.
She says, "I cancelled because it wasn't the right time. I didn't want to do it badly - and the whole thing was basically going to be a rehash of my Stripped show.
"So I'll wait until I've found some new material and have a better show for fans to enjoy."
Aguilera cancelled 28 gigs earlier this year (04), insisting the hectic workload could have irreparably damaged her voice. |
