| Aguilera Turns Down Valley of the Dolls - Aug 03, 2004 | Pop superstar CHRISTINA AGUILERA has turned down the chance to star in a remake of 1967 movie VALLEY OF THE DOLLS - so she can finish work on her new album.
The original film, about three women whose lives are affected by showbusiness, starred PATTY DUKE and SHARON TATE.
Aguilera was being lined up to appear in a modern version, and reportedly met with producers - but she is too busy.
Her spokesperson has told the NEW YORK POST, "She's concentrating on her album."... |

| Pop Stars 'To Blame' For Graffiti - Aug 03, 2004 | ANTI-graffiti campaigners yesterday attacked pop stars such as Christina Aguilera for making it look cool.
It costs councils £27million a year to clean up "tags" daubed by youngsters on buildings.
Sue Nelson, of Keep Britain Tidy, said: "Stars such as Christina Aguilera fill their videos with graffiti images to convince you they're in touch with the streets.
"In the real world, all graffiti does is add to the sense of squalor and makes people feel unsafe."
