POP rebel Christina Aguilera has stunningly lashed out at chart rival Britney Spears again saying the Toxic singer acts like "trailer trash".
Outspoken Christina was horrified to hear Britney, 22, coughed up the cash for her own engagement ring ahead of her wedding to 26-year-old dancer Kevin Federline.
The Beautiful singer also slammed the bauble itself, saying it looked like Britney had bought it from a TV shopping channel.
"I can't believe that girl bought her own engagement ring! I've seen it, up close. It looks like she got it on QVC", she was reported as saying in Us Weekly magazine.
"I know Britney. She's not trailer trash, but she sure acts that way."
Nor is the pint-sized diva's disdain limited to Britney's taste in trinkets.
Raunchy Christina has now put her own wedding plans on ice because she doesn't want it to look as if she is following in the footsteps of her famous friend.
Christina had been considering a trip down the aisle with long-term squeeze 28-year-old Jordan Bratman but postponed her plans through fear she would be seen as jumping on the nuptial bandwagon.
"(Bratman is) the one guy I can credit for making me think about marriage in a whole new light," she said in American woman's bible Jane.
"Right now, everybody else is jumping the gun. I don't want to jump into marriage yet."
It seems Britney, though, cannot wait to "jump the gun" and plans to marry her beau of four months later this year despite recent reports the couple had a blazing row while filming an advertisement for the singer's new perfume.
The fuming blonde reportedly had to be prised away from Federline by her mother and brother.
Britney was reportedly furious about reports she had called off the wedding following the bust up. According to US tabloid Star it will go ahead as planned in November.
If the sexy singer does make it to the altar, it will be her second marriage in eleven months.
Britney wed childhood friend Jason Alexander, 22, in a quickie ceremony in US gambling capital Las Vegas in January.
The pair, who exchanged vows after a wild, booze-fuelled night on the town, divorced just 55-hours later. |
