| Spears's Kind Letter to Aguilera - Jan 07, 2005 | BRITNEY SPEARS has written a letter to her chart rival CHRISTINA AGUILERA in a bid to end their long feud.
The two singers met as children while they were presenting the MICKEY MOUSE CLUB TV show, but became enemies when their singing careers took off in the late 90s.
After seeing Spears' engagement ring from her now-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE, Aguilera said, "It looks like she got it on QVC. I know Britney. She's not trailer trash, but she sure acts that way."

The telethon, which will air on NBC and all of its sister cable channels, including Bravo, MSNBC, USA, and the Sci Fi Channel, was arranged by actor George Clooney, who continues to recruit celebrity talent for the telethon, according to Entertainment Weekly. Tim McGraw was initially expected to participate in the event, however according to his publicist, a scheduling conflict will prevent him from doing so.

Today, it was announced that NBC will air a telethon on January 15 that will be shown simultaneously on its sister cable networks: USA, Bravo, Sci-Fi, MSNBC and CBNC.
