Scott Storch Not Happy With Christina Aguilera Or Her People | Type: Internet Article |
| | Scott Storch's Outrageous Fortune | Jun 29, 2006 | by Toure
An article on Scott Storch. He mentions Christina.
"I worked with Beyoncé on her last album," Storch says. "I wasn't invited to the new album. I only delivered three hit records last time. But a lot of artists figure they want to try something different. Whatever. There's certain artists who are loyal and certain ones don't really care and don't give you the opportunity to follow through with them again. I'm insulted by a lot of the artists I delivered hits to."
Like who?
"Like Christina Aguilera." Storch made seven songs for her most recent album, Stripped, two of them singles, and helped her sell 12 million records worldwide, but he's not working on her new album, Back to Basics. "I told [Christina's people] I needed a private plane to get out to L.A.," he says. "I had to bring equipment, clothes, my people. You want me to move my life from Miami to L.A. for six months, and you can't get me a plane to do it? She didn't go to bat for me. And I truly cared about her as a person and a friend and as an artist." |

| Willow R.: She didn't call him back because she's going to a new direction. If she doesn't change she will always sound the same. Why do you think Madonna's always different? She changes producers too. So perhaps he should chill.

| Stripped713: I agree^ I mean Christina said she heard alot of cool tracks over the past year while recording, but she had to stick to her set vision. Linda perry obviously ould go along with that vision as well, maybe Christina felt Scott wouldnt be able to and so therefore wasnt worth the hassle. He needs to get over it.

| DirrtySteph: He's right, but maybe Christina wasnt clear in what she wanted... that's why he didnt understand that. Who knows.

| Jason: He's been in the game about three times longer than Christina. I'm sure he understands the concept of "my style might not fit with this artist's vision." So I doubt it's sour grapes. Also, in case you guys didn't know, Scott Storch is a classically trained pianist...and Christina's new record is what? I'm just saying. There's probably some truth in what he's saying.

| southatx2005: Who knows what happened, buuut I still think Christina should NOT have added the interlude FUSS to the record... personally its very low to go to the trouble to record something agaisnt someone on your record.. right?
