| Prior commitments' force the singer to move the 20-date gig-run - May 25, 2010 | Christina Aguilera has postponed her upcoming tour of North America till 2011.
The 20-date gig-run was due to commence in Connecticut on July 15, but now the singer has cited "prior commitments to filming her movie 'Burlesque' and to the promotion of her new album 'Bionic'", as the reasons behind the postponements.
As previously reported, 'Bionic', the follow-up to 2006's 'Back To Basics', is released on June 8.
Meanwhile, new dates for the North American tour will be announced later this year, with refunds for the postponed shows available at point of purchase.

| Pop star busy with filming new movie, needs more time to rehearse - May 25, 2010 | Just two weeks after announcing her Bionic summer tour, Christina Aguilera has postponed the entire trek until 2011. The singer says she needs to focus on promoting her new album and is tied-down with commitments to the film Burlesque, in which Aguilera has a starring role. "[Aguilera] felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour date, this wasn't possible," said Live Nation, who was promoting the tour, in a statement. | Aguilera's US Tour Called Off - May 2010 | CHRISTINA AGUILERA's big comeback has hit a snag.
The singer has postponed her US tour until next year, claiming she is too busy to prepare for it.
Surely she should have thought about that a few weeks ago, before she announced it and got her fans all excited.
Xtina was supposed to hit the road in July, supported by LEONA LEWIS, but the dates are now put off to an unspecified time in 2011.
To be fair, she has lots on. As well as being a mum, she releases album Bionic on June 8 and stars in the film Burlesque, which is due out in November.
