Christina Aguilera using Adele as inspiration for new albumType: Internet Article

Christina Aguilera is hoping to take some inspiration from Adele's success.Aug 03, 2011

The 30-year-old singer's last release, Bionic, topped the UK charts, but was a flop compared to some of her earlier work in terms of worldwide sales.

After completing the first series of X Factor rival The Voice, Xtina is now trying to ignore Kelly Osbourne's ranting and focus on masterminding another hit record on the scale of Stripped.

She has recruited British songwriter Talay Riley to work on some tracks and he is excited about the prospect of helping Aguilera return to the top.

Riley, who has also worked with Jessie J and Tulisa from N-Dubz, revealed he was given a detailed brief for the album, which the US singer wants to be about her turbulent personal life.

'Basically she wants songs that are as big as Beautiful,' he told the Daily Star.

'Christina wants to make another Stripped and sees Adele as her new inspiration.'

Riley also suggested that Aguilera could have a smash hit with one of his pieces.

'I've written one song for her which is a real track put to a four-by-four beat. It's like a better version of Leona Lewis's Collide,' he said.
