Always a good idea: Your weekly forum update - 07:09AM EST - century
Hello again everyone, I’m back with some more forum news for you.

And we’ll start as always in Xtina lounge, with some very exciting news for everyone who’s got some free time tonight. Because entertainment channel E! will air a special on Christina on September 2 (that’s today for you non-calendar fanatics), in which she talks about everything from Jordan and her son Max, to the new sound she’s going for on her album. In a little preview posted by E! she even started crying as she sat on the couch in the confines of her own lovely home, but fear not because they were all happy tears from realizing how lucky she is with her hubby. So get your Kleenex boxes out everyone, and keep an eye out on our thread.
In other news, our girl will not just be interviewed but honored as well, as film-website Variety send out the names for their “Lifetime Impact Honorees”, who will be credited for the charity work they’ve all committed to. In Christina’s case it’s her efforts for the World Hunger Relief program that got her recognized by a movie-site before she’s even started shooting her first film, and what better way to do that then by organizing a “Power of Women Luncheon”. For everyone not in the know, a luncheon is a social gathering where food will also be served. Or as we plain folk would call it; A barbecue. Yet something tells me Christina won’t be chowing down any spare-ribs while she’s rubbing elbows with the likes of fellow-honoree Anne Hathaway though.

Moving on now to picture lounge, we’ve unfortunately seen the triumphant return again of a recluse Christina, so no new candid shots to offer you guys this week. We do however have something for collectors with some cash, as an auction for a Back to Basics platinum set got posted by our picture-moderator Holly, complete with vinyl records to get that old-fashioned sound. That is, if you even own a record player of course. It also includes a DVD of her back to Basics tour live from Bangkok, so hopefully you do have a DVD-player to get a little taste of Thailand’s response to our girl’s powerful pipes.
And for my last bit of forum happenings, I take you once more to celebrity lounge, where you can view the latest promo-material for “Desperate Housewives”, courtesy of our resident DH super-fan Mike. (He also loves Mariah, which I guess makes him a DH-lamb) Furthermore you can also see how Britney’s former husband K-Fed is doing, now that’s he discovered McDonalds. Or on a more serious note, give your praises to DJ AM, who unfortunately left us way too soon and sudden. Don’t do drugs kids, seriously. But to close off on a more lighter note, our XA-lounge moderator Rod ventured out into the wild, and made a lovely thread in Chill lounge for you all to post your pictures and stories. Just click and post, that’s all there is to it.

I like to write a lot: Your forum update - 07:46PM EST - century
Welcome back everyone, it’s time again to give you your weekly forum update.

And after last week’s E!-special, we of course first head out to Xtina lounge again for a small status report. People who tuned in to our girl’s heart-to-heart talk and stayed along for the ride will know she finally confirmed long-rumored producers Le Tigre and Goldfrapp, which brings the list of confirmed collaborators in our official album thread to an impressive number of 11. And in some other news, non-related to the special, Sia also revealed on twitter she and Christina are working together on a brand new song, not for her new album but for the soundtrack to her debut-film “Burlesque”. That’s a lot of Sia we’re getting, and it’s all Christina-approved as she was sure to ask our girl about sending this out into the Twitter-community before posting it.
Up next in Xtina lounge, we’ve got a very funny story that just goes to show you how inspiration can hit you at any time when you’re working on a brand new album. Because according to the National Enquirer, Christina was enjoying a lovely dinner at the Osteria Mozza restaurant when a full stomach provided her with brand new song-ideas, and she penned down a few lyrics on a napkin. Only to see a very eager busboy picking it up along with the other dirty dishes, we’ll presume not in an attempt to sell it on Ebay for some pocket money. Fear not though, because our girl managed to spot it right on time, and retrieve her work of labor. No word on what she was eating that night that got her caught with the inspiration-bug, but of any of her new lyrics mention Pasta al Dente, don’t be too surprised.

Moving on to Picture lounge, it’s unfortunately still very Christina free, which we hope can only mean she’s cooped up in her home studio all day, hard at work. (And not chasing busboys) We do however got a brand new photo from her unreleased Markus Klinko & Indrani photo shoot, which shows a gorgeous Christina laying on the couch surrounded by candles, in a lovely black & white photo. While you’re there, show some love also to our picture lounge moderator Holly, who unfortunately lost a bid on a novelty Pepsi-cup fitted with Christina’s image, by only a 50 cent margin. Either that, or I’m reading it wrong and 50 Cent outbidded her, though I’m betting on the first one.
And for my last little column we of course head out once more into celebrity lounge territory, Where a new playmate for Max has been born, as Nicole Richie and Joel Madden welcome their second child Sparrow James Midnight Madden into this world. If you are being named after a bird, I guess it still beats being called a Bushtit. And in other news regarding MTV’s upcoming VMA-awards (of which there’s no word if Christina will attend them), Janet Jackson will be giving what is shaping up to be an epic performance in memory of her late brother Michael, for which she’ll be supported by a slew of the hottest choreographers in town, including Wade Robson and also our girl’s favorite; Jeri Slaughter. Plus many more, all in our thread.

The little engine that could: Your weekly forum update - 11:48AM EST - century
Hey once again everyone, I’m back with some more forum pickings for you.

And on a Christina-site the best way to start still is in Xtina lounge, where we’ve got our girl giving her praises to one of the biggest legends out there, a diva who proved her worth many times including with her recent comeback. I am of course talking about Whitney Houston, who was a guest on Oprah’s show last night. Christina was one of the many performers proclaiming her love for the singer in a video-message, citing “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” as the first Whitney-song she ever heard. And judging by Whitney’s eighties hair-do in the clip, the song wasn’t the only thing that made an impact on a young Christina.
Up next we’ve got a very interesting question posed to all CMM members in the form of a nice thread called “Xtina songs you’ve cried to”. I myself have to plead guilty on “Hurt”, though I found out I’m certainly not alone with that. Some choices may still surprise you though, as one of our members (cough-Rod-cough) cried during “Here To Stay” because he couldn’t believe she actually put that on the album. But whatever the reason may be, our girl certainly has a knack for striking a chord with people, so feel free to put down that handkerchief momentarily, and sum up your Christina-tearjerkers.

Onward to picture lounge now, where Christina once again showed her lovely face, which she did at the Boa Steakhouse in Santa Monica of all places. Judging by her smile on the pictures she wasn’t chasing waiters around this time, which is always a good thing. Furthermore we’ve also got a couple of fresh pictures from Christina’s colorful KGB-promo shoot where’s she’s struggling with her stripy sweater (Nope, no nudity if that was what you were thinking), and to close off we have one more Marcus Klinko & Indrani photo that has popped up of our girl standing in a forest of microphone standards. Let’s hope she found the right one by now, so that new album comes around soon.
And in conclusion we head over to celebrity lounge once more, where the talk of town is of course Kanye West’s rude behavior at the recent VMA’s, when he cut of Taylor Swift’s thank-you speech to spout his disagreement with her win. Someone should start putting the (love) lockdown on him whenever awards-season comes around. We’ve also got the title of the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie for you, and don’t be lazy but visit our thread to find out it’s called “On stranger Tides”. (Oops!) And last but not least, you can leave a small token of honor to one of the eighties’ greatest superstars who left this world far too soon, after a long battle with cancer; Patrick Swayze, who’s hopefully still dirty dancing all the way up there.

Burn after reading (Not really): Your weekly forum update - 08:23PM EST - century
Hello once more to my avid readers, I hope you’re ready for your weekly update, because it’s got a lot of Christina in it!

Beginning of course in Xtina lounge, where our girl’s movie-debut “Burlesque” has got a starting date now for when shooting begins (November 9th), but we also found out who will play Christina’s love interest. And good news for all you “Twilight” fans out there, because it’s none other than Cam Cigandet. In an interview posted in our thread he also promised Burlesque is shaping up to be “a very sexy movie”, which means good news to all of us, and I’m sure Jordan is completely thrilled now as well his wife chose to get into acting.
Up next we also got two more interesting threads for you, as Christina’s new commercial for her “By Night” perfume hit the web. And Cam Cigandet must have had a hand in it or something, because it’s a very sexy, seductive Christina we’re seeing, spraying on a night-gown with her new scent. And if you want some more moving images of our girl, feel free to check out the launch of her new “From Hunger to Hope” PSA, in which she’s showing her slightly less sexy, but very generous heart in aiding the UN’s World Food Program by literally lending her voice to it.

And we’re staying in the food-sector with our weekly picture lounge round-up, where Christina proved she’s certainly a very hands-on girl, because she and hubby Jordan flew all the way to Guatemala to show their commitment for the World Food program, checking out funny-looking mushrooms. On top of that she treated herself to some chow as well when she, Jordan and Max visited the Toscana restaurant, where I’m sure they have mushrooms too, but not funny-looking ones. And we’re getting treated in the magazine department as well, with her two page spread in “Heat” magazine (Very fitting name if I do say so myself), and she also allowed us a peek into her own home in the scans you can see below, taken from “InStyle” magazine.

Alright, that already covers a load of Christina, but we do however have some added news to give you from celebrity lounge. Because the baby-boom keeps going, after Nicole Richie we now also have Sarah Michelle Gellar giving birth to a healthy girl, named Charlotte Grace. Yup, no odd-looking name for you to remember (That’s how producers get born also I think), but a very graceful, normal one. And to close off on a very beautiful note, we turn to the Alicia Keys thread, where a new single from her is up for you to listen to, which is called “Doesn’t Mean Anything”. Not a fitting name in this case, as it’s full of powerful meaning, Alicia-style.

Will type for change: Your weekly forum update - 04:18PM EST - century
Hey and welcome to another addition of your weekly update everyone.

Let’s get right to it, and check out Xtina lounge to see what’s cooking. And so far, not a lot of news coming out about Christina’s new album, but we do have some new info in our extensively updated “Burlesque”-thread about her upcoming movie-debut. In an interview choreographer Jaquel Knight mentioned he’s involved with our girl’s movie project, and promises “it’s gonna be huge”. And the guy in question gave that interview straight after winning a VMA for best choreography (like the stuff he did for Britney’s “Circus” tour and Beyonce’s bombshell “Single Ladies” video), so you know he means business. As long as this doesn’t mean we’ll see Cam Cigandet gyrating whilst wearing a leotard, I’m all for it.
Further up in our lounge of all things Christina, we make a little jump in time, back to when Christina coupled herself with 3 other sexy ladies to create a provocative “Lady Marmelade” hit. Because in a recent clip one of those ladies, namely Pink (who else) has shed some light on how this winning collabo came to be, and expressed some serious bitterness (and one helluva diva-attitude) about the whole thing. It certainly got the discussion going in our thread, particularly because the “Funhouse” singer turned into an evil clown when she took a jab at our girl’s frequent and revered collaborator Linda Perry as well. Feel free to check it out and add your opinion.

Making a jump now to picture lounge, we’ve got some more Christina-stuff to show off, as the new ad for her World Hunger Relief project was unveiled, under the slogan “Feed the Children”. And as we could see in last week’s InStyle special, she’s pulling in her end of the bargain by feeding Max his daily vitamine dose. We of course also have new red carpet pictures of her attending Variety’s “Power of Women” luncheon, where she collected her humanitarian award, in the shape of a plastic drinking cup so Max has something to rinse his chow down with as well. And as a last treat, we also have some new photo’s of her and Jordan at the Roosevelt hotel, checking in to make Max a lil’ sister. Of course that last bit is just pure speculation on my part, I just wanted as many Max-mentions as possible.
And in conclusion we reach the last little column again, which means it’s time for some celebrity news: According to Us Weekly hottie Jessica Biel and (I guess) other hottie Justin Timberlake have ended their relationship, tells a mutual friend. In other news for you nineties fans out there, the cast of “Friends” is reportedly coming back together to make a movie. Very exciting news, or as Janice would say it: “Oh..My..God!”. And one more story from celeb-land, it seems the good people at Disney have lost their mind and are contemplating replacing Johnny Depp’s character of Captain Jack Sparrow in any future “Pirates” movies. I’d say sacrifice them to the Kraken, along with whoever’s great idea it was to kill off Bambi’s mother.
