Christina Statistics - She Said - Fans
'It's been quite a roller coaster ride, but I've grown and learned a lot about myself. The greatest thing is being able to interact with fans and touch people's lives...For that I give thanks.'
'Well, you know, that's one of the things that keeps me going sometimes. I get these letters from kids all over that say that I inspire them or encourage them to do something or get into music professionally or aspire to do that one day, which is really cool. Being out there and seeing those kids, and when I'm on stage and performing 'Genie in a Bottle,' there is no feeling in the world like having thousands of kids singing it back to me. It's amazing.'
'I think I have a lot of international fans, and more than I realise. Well, at least I hope so.'
'I was signing autographs when I didn't know how to write cursive, I would be sitting there printing when I barely knew how to spell my name.'
'It's wonderful. It's great being able to meet incredibly talented singers and musicians. I have to work hard not to act like a groupie when I meet famous people - I still feel like a fan, not a celebrity. I hope I don't lose my entusiasm though. I want to give my fans a lot of great music to listen to for years to come.'
'All I do is think of the fans and remember why I do it.'
'I really want to make music that makes kids feel confident and secure. I'm looking forward to reaching out and touching as many fans as possible. It's really time for something different.'
'I want to thank you all so, so much. I love whenever I do shows in any city and you guys come up to me. And I do apologise if you've come up to me to give me something to sign and a lot of times it's out of my hands and I feel awful if I can't. But I know none of this would be possible without you, so I do appreciate you. So I look forward to seeing you all on my tour. And the album is out today, so go out and buy it. Thank you!'
'I can't wait for the day fans recognize me on the street. I know some people hate that, but not me. I've been waiting for this moment all my life.'
'I know that's a greater accomplishment than selling records.' [having fans]
'I am 18 years old. I'll be 19 in December. December 18th. I'm a Sagittarius, actually. It's a dream come true. I've wanted this forever, my entire life. So now that it's happening, I'm thrilled and having the time of my life. It is completely draining, and if I didn't love it so much, I wouldn't get into it. But the fans make it all worthwhile, and it's incredible.'
'Sometimes I definitely visit the web sites and hear all the comments that you're making and appreciate them and take them into consideration. And, yes, my mom loves you too. She always reports on what you're saying and she loves to read your mail.'
